Champagne Lombardi
House
Lombardi artisan Champagne comes from the up and coming Côte des Bars. Champagne Lombardi represents the contemporary side of Champagne. This prestigious French region has been dominated for centuries by a few large, prominent Champagne houses. Known as the Grandes Marques—literally, “big brands”—these mega-producers of Champagne have been joined in recent decades by an upstart generation of small labels such as Champagne Lombardi. Created in 2007, this brand new house will see for years later its first cuvée hit the market. The result was a shower of 90-plus ratings from some of the world’s most prestigious wine critics—an astonishing feat for this brash newcomer.

The attack in the mouth is forthright and pure, evolving with fresh and abundant flavors and much finesse. We rediscover the butter bread, toasted praline aromas of the chardonnay, complimented by the strength of the pinot noir. The sensation of the bubbles is very fine and delicate. This is a well-balanced and elegant champagne with much finesse, and can be kept 6 years or longer” 91+ points Parker - 91 points Decanter - 92 points Wine Spectator - 91 points Stephen Tanzer - 90 points Wine Enthusiast - Médaille d’or China Wine and Spirits Awards - 4.5*/5 Winestate Magazine Australia.
Cuvée Blanc de Noir Millésime 2009. First press. Disgorged in March 2015. This 100% pinot noir champagne comes from the celebrated “Côte des Bar” vineyards in the Aube region. Surprisingly fresh and light, this cuvée unveils the full spectrum of aromas available in the Pinot Noir. Discreetly mineral at the first nose, opening to a more floral honey aroma upon aeration. After a fresh attack, the mouth is ample, round and complex, giving way to flavors of acacia honey, peach, and pear. 91 points Parker."
